I’m looking to buy a new digital camera. Something a little nicer than a traditional point and shoot but not quite an SLR. I was looking at 1. Nikon Coolpix L110 2.Canon Powershot Sx120 3. Canon Powershot G11 4. Panasonic DMC-FZ28 — or any other suggestions. Picture quality is one of the most important factors to me. I am looking to spend around 0-400. Does anyone have any opinions on these? Thanks!!
I am a novice photographer seeking a mega zoom camera. I have narrowed my choices to: Cannon powershot SX200IS, Cannon Powershot SX10IS, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28, Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS3 and Nikon Coolpix P80. What are your recomendations for ease of use and quality of photos?

I was thinking of getting a Panasonic Lumix FZ-18, its a really nice camera with 18x optical zoom.
Are there any other big zoom digital cameras on the market with 18x optical zoom? I’d also like them to be with rechargeable batteries and 6 or more megapixels.
Also what other cameras are coming out between now and July, that you think would be a better alternative over the Panasonic?? Are any manufacturers making any ‘better’ big zoom digital cameras?
