Recommendations for a "bridge/ extended zoom" digital camera?

I’m looking to buy a new digital camera. Something a little nicer than a traditional point and shoot but not quite an SLR. I was looking at 1. Nikon Coolpix L110 2.Canon Powershot Sx120 3. Canon Powershot G11 4. Panasonic DMC-FZ28 — or any other suggestions. Picture quality is one of the most important factors to me. I am looking to spend around 0-400. Does anyone have any opinions on these? Thanks!!

    I am a novice photographer seeking a mega zoom camera. I have narrowed my choices to: Cannon powershot SX200IS, Cannon Powershot SX10IS, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28, Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS3 and Nikon Coolpix P80. What are your recomendations for ease of use and quality of photos?

    • What is a good level of zoom in a digital camera?

    I’m trying to buy a digital camera that takes both videos and still pictures.
    The camera I’m looking at is a Nikon Coolpix S210 Digital Camera. It has 3x zoom, and I was wondering if that’s a good amount of zoom, for zooming in on things like concerts and whatnot.
    Also, do you have any other recommended video-still picture brands? Thanks!
