I am getting a casio exilim ex-s10. If you do not know what I am talking about with the zoom…..most digital cameras today have 3x zoom. Some cameras you can go even further past that zoom although it is a little unfocused.But does come in handy.. Does the casio exilim ex-s10 have this type of zooming?

My daughter gave me this Kodak Digital camera to use for posting pictures on the ebay auction site.
But she said it would take her a couple of weeks to find the D Camera booklet & send to me. SO,
I am a dummy & do not understand the operation & procedures to use this type camera.

When I look at digital cameras online, how do I know if the camera can zoom in while its taking a video?
Is it "Optical Zoom"?
The camera that I have right now can not zoom while I am taking a video, even though it can zoom in on pictures.
Also, none of the cameras I’m looking at seem to have the dimensions or quality of their video. How do I know if the video quality will be good?

She needs a 5x Optical Zoom (NOT Digital Zoom!!). Although MegaPixel-count is Good on Most Digital Cameras now days, she Prefere’s a 6 Mega-Pixel Camera or better.

I was thinking of getting a Panasonic Lumix FZ-18, its a really nice camera with 18x optical zoom.
Are there any other big zoom digital cameras on the market with 18x optical zoom? I’d also like them to be with rechargeable batteries and 6 or more megapixels.
Also what other cameras are coming out between now and July, that you think would be a better alternative over the Panasonic?? Are any manufacturers making any ‘better’ big zoom digital cameras?
