hi everyone, i just came back from vacation. when i went to my destination, my family and i went to a zoom. many of the animals were small and i used my digital zoom to capture the pictures of them in action. I have a great canon sd630. its a six megapixel camera with a 3x optical and 12 x total digital/optical zoom. i wanted to send my images to be printed but i know many of them will come out poorly because i used the 12x digital zoom over and over again. the pictures look clear and crisp on the camera but i know i many have complcations. what size should i have these images printed at? 4×6 may be too large for these images.

I want to get my Dad a digital camera for his birthday. It would probably mostly be used to photograph animals in the wild from medium to long-range. (AKA deer and such in his backyard LOL)

I only have a video camera, which has a 800x digital zoom. I was thinking I would be able to find a digital camera with something similar, but all I see is 6-10x zoom.

What is a good, reasonably priced digital camera when zoom is one of your biggest priorities.

To me, reasonably priced is under 0.

I currently have a Canon Rebel 2000 film camera and a Vivitar 100 – 400 mm zoom lens and would like a digital camera and zoom lens with similar quality. I use my camera for taking pictures of birds and other animals, so I need a good telephoto lens.
