Recommendations for a "bridge/ extended zoom" digital camera?
Posted by adminJul 13
I’m looking to buy a new digital camera. Something a little nicer than a traditional point and shoot but not quite an SLR. I was looking at 1. Nikon Coolpix L110 2.Canon Powershot Sx120 3. Canon Powershot G11 4. Panasonic DMC-FZ28 — or any other suggestions. Picture quality is one of the most important factors to me. I am looking to spend around 0-400. Does anyone have any opinions on these? Thanks!!

All of those cameras can produce excellent images.
The longest optical zoom the Nikon has is 24x on the P90 and 26x optical zoom on the P100. That should give you plenty of range.

I would suggest Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35, a newer model of FZ28.
# 12.1-megapixel resolution
# 27mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens; 18x optical zoom with POWER O.I.S.
# HD movies with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution; AVCHD Lite format
# 2.7-inch TFT LCD screen
Pictures out of it are good quality and also take good HD video.

Simple suggestion, check out the Fuji line – excellent cameras… I know, I own 2 of them.
