How can I zoom with my digital camera after I've taken the photo and upload the result in its "zoomed form"?
Posted by adminJul 18
As the question states, I’d like to be able to do this with my camera: after taking a photo on my digital camera I’m able to view it and further zoom in on it; however, I’m unable to upload the "zoomed image" to my computer but only the original. How can I go about accomplishing this?
Thank you in advance.

Look for "crop" in your owner’s manual. Some cameras let you crop in the camera and save the altered image.
Of course, you can do this faster, easier and better on your computer, but I can understand that you might wish to take your card to a store or kiosk to have a print made of the "zoomed" version of your picture. Some store printers allow you to crop also, and this has the same effect as "zooming" the image inside the camera. You’ll get several people telling you what to do "next time," but that doesn’t help you solve this problem. Oh well. They mean well, anyhow.
Maybe you want to upload the zoomed image to an on-line photo sharing site, also. I get it. SOME sites actually allow you do some cropping on-line, but I don’t know which ones they are. I think there’s a Picasa site where you can store pictures and edit them on-line and now Photoshop has a similar site called Photoshop Express. You can do some basic editting here and then let others view your work: https://www.photoshop.com/express/landing.html

You can zoom in using the view/ review option on your camera I’m guessing.
When you take an image, the camera allows you to review it and zoom in to check detail etc. All the information that you see in this ‘zoomed’ image is in the picture that you download from your card into your viewer and you can zoom/ edit/ crop the image in there, however you cant (at least on my DSLR’s) zoom in on the review menu and edit it within the camera as that would take up a lot of the memory.
