I know, Optical zoom is the one comes out of the camera and digital zoom doesn’t. But other than that how are they diffrent which one do you recommend when I am thinking about buying a
5megapixel 5X digital zoom. or 5.1 Mega pixel w/ 3x Optical zoom.
the one with digital zoom is lik 9 and Optical zoom is 150
I am going to be using this camera for mostly family pictures and trips.

I would like to invest in a really good digital camera with a zoom lens. The camera will be used quite often for sporting events—-so the ability to shoot moving objects is critical. I also will need a zoom lens since I will be shooting distant figures. (Ice Hockey–Football) I would like to spend around 1200 I guess but I am flexible–more or less is ok. THANK YOU!!!

I’m looking for a camera under 0 with at least 7 x zoom and somewhere near 10 megapixels. I want both clear people and landscape shots. I’ve looked online at Circuit City, Best Buy, HHGregg and Amazon. There are just too many! I want something compact and fairly easy to use.

As the question states, I’d like to be able to do this with my camera: after taking a photo on my digital camera I’m able to view it and further zoom in on it; however, I’m unable to upload the "zoomed image" to my computer but only the original. How can I go about accomplishing this?

My question is will this take close and clear pics? I don’t care so much about the digital zoom because I know I lose quality, but I am more concerned with the 15x optical zoom. I think it will get pretty close, but any help would be great. For the money I paid I really want a camera zoom that will really get in there and get some great close-up shots.

The camera is a Fuji FinePix SLR-style camera. It has picture stabilizer and has HD shooting mode to capture high resolution images and video to view on a compatible HDTV (not sure if that is good or bad).
Yes, it is a S2000HD. I looked up the camera on Fuji’s website and it seems like it will be a decent camera. I am using it for personal pictures and of some concerts I will be attending this summer. I won’t be needing it for professional use, but would like to know that I am not gonna get ripped out of 0 for a camera that is crap. I mainly got it for the 15x zoom, the rest is just extra.
I was hoping there might be someone that had this camera and saw my question and could let me know that it was a good camera and took good pics. I am not saying I am the ebest picture taker in the world, but I do kow how to use a camera.

I’m looking to buy a new digital camera. Something a little nicer than a traditional point and shoot but not quite an SLR. I was looking at 1. Nikon Coolpix L110 2.Canon Powershot Sx120 3. Canon Powershot G11 4. Panasonic DMC-FZ28 — or any other suggestions. Picture quality is one of the most important factors to me. I am looking to spend around 0-400. Does anyone have any opinions on these? Thanks!!

i have a sony dsc h9 digital camera with 15x optical zoom. sony sells an accessory by name tele lens with 1.5x. If i attach the same to my digi cam, it make my digital cam zoom to 16.5x or 22.5x. Please clarify. Does it affect the clarity of the images adversely???
